Slide #43

silde

"Another page of the Daniel Low 1901 catalog illustrates more buckles. In the center of the catalog page is a highly stylized art nouveau turtle. An actual buckle featuring this design is pictured at the right and on the bottom of the slide. The turtle is so highly stylized that it is difficult to recognize it as a turtle, and is flanked by two swimming women. This is a two-piece buckle by Kerr and is about 6" long."
