"This is a wonderful buckle of cast silver. Various sea motifs decorate a "sandy" background, and the bottom left corner is curled up to give the piece extra depth. The four teeth showing at the inside left edge are actually on a loop that is attached to the center post, and which swivels to anchor the belt once it is fastened. The 4-leaf clover mark may be the mark of H.F. Barrows & Co. of North Attleboro. This piece is about 2 ¾" high."
