I keep seeing this message when I try to log in:"This connection is not secure. Logins entered here may be compromised."

Its a change that your browser made and relates to SSL HTTPS certificate advice please

Since we don't do financial transactions at this site, we are not really a target for this type of hacking. Nevertheless, it is a good to idea to implement SSL so we will be doing this at some point. There is a $ cost but June & I are prepared for that.

We have tested the ISP's test implementation of SSL and it breaks the Silver Salon Forums. Our ISP has very poor offshore support and the support has been unable to be clear about what is going on with SSL.

So we are proceeding slowly ...learning what we can about how the ISP has SSL implemented in the ISP's UNIX. As it stands right now, there is no clear way to uninstall SSL once it has been activated. So if we activate SSL and it breaks the Forums there doesn't appear way to return to what now works.

The Forums have worked without SSL since the beginning. It is your browser that has changed and it is your browser that wants every site to use SSL.

Even with the new "Support the forums button" we don't do financial transactions at the SSF. Clicking this button takes you to "PayPal's" secure HTTPS site for the transaction.
