I received a set of flatware (supposedly from the 1940's) and need some advice regarding the pieces. 5 of the knifes have the J.A. Henckels Zwillingswerk mark (including the "twin" hallmark.) The other 4 knifes have G&C Feinstahl Solingen. I know that Solingen, Germany is where J.A. Henckels is based. Are these knifes from the same set or do I have pieces from separate sets? The forks and spoons are all marked with the word "selecta." Do I have pieces from 3 different sets or do they all really go together? I have been unsuccessful in my search for information regarding vintage Henckels flatware, which makes me believe that it is absolutely worthless and no one wants it or it's extremely rare. Does anyone know which it is? Thank you!

On the forums we don't provide valuations.

Henckels has been mentioned in two prior posts:

The "twin" mark is not a hallmark but rather it is a trade mark used by the knife/blade manufacturer, Zwilling J.A. Henckels. This is the mark that Henckels uses on their premium line.

The single figure is used on their value line.

You don't mention anything about your flatware being silver or silver plate. Are you asking about stainless steel?
