I have a long-time customer who asked me to assist him in ID'ing the maker of his tea pot. (He does not have photo-taking capabilities.)

However, I hope that from his description of the mark, someone MUCH more knowledgeable than I can assist in identifying the maker.

"1) A crescent moon shaped indent bearing the initials JBC&S Ltd
2) a very small indent of a Fleur-de-Lis
3) A small indented numeral 2
4) An indent bearing the words..HARD-SOLDERED
5) And...EPNS (which we all know what this means)"

I've got numerous paper-cuts from leafing through all my reference books and am still coming up shy.

Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated!
Best wishes to all.
Abe

Hi Abe! Sorry I hit the button before I wrote the message. Try a search for JB Chatterley & Sons Birmingham England. Hope this helps.

Thank you, Jersey!
I really appreciate the maker's identification for this client's teapot.

I found an identical mark to the one he's seeking, so you're right on! THANK YOU!!!
