bnpanzone1 Posts: 1 Registered: Jan 2017	posted 01-09-2017 05:14 AM [26-2622] I don't really collect silver but thought this was pretty. I picked up a bride's basket from a thrift store for $5. I believe is silver or silver plated with "Meriden B. Company" and the mark with the scales on it. Underneath, there are the numbers 1848. I read that this company was founded in 1852. So what do these numbers mean? They appear to have been hand stamped as they are not lined up perfectly and the second 8 is actually upside-down. IP: Logged
