Yamazaki has already been brought up in this forum. It seems to be the one new maker that catches the eye of silver lovers. Their Gone Fishing pattern in particular has been approved of here.

What seems to set Yamazaki apart from the other new makers is that there is an upscale tone to the offerings. Yamazaki does not sell from its website; instead you are asked to enter your zipcode. Then local retail outlets are listed. My zipcode yields Macy's and BBB as the choices. The zipcode locator is easy to use. Hopefully, some of you will check it out and let us know who else sells Yamazaki.

Dale: Yamazaki does not sell from its website

With the exception of an intriguing sample program, which I noted my original mention of Yamazaki at the end of the Cambridge Silversmiths thread (Cambridge Silversmiths of Fairfield NJ. (Reproduced below because it belongs here anyway):
---

Here's another company in the stainless flatware business, Yamazaki.
They sell through Bed, Bath & Beyond, Macy's, and also via some high-end gift stores in my area. They offer a sample spoon program -- teaspoons from up to three patterns at a low price.

Although they're the makers of the Gone Fishin' design shown in a much earlier thread on new trends in stainless, they seem in general to be positioning themselves as high-quality rather than whimsical.
