Horace Partridge is listed in the 1870 U S Federal Census for Somersville, Massachusetts as a merchant. His son in law Benjamin F Hunt Jr who was a jewler is listed in the household.

Benjamin Hunt is listed in the 1880 U S Federal Census for Somerville, Massachusetts with the occupation fancy notions.

Benjamin Hunt Jr, F (Horace's son Frank) P Partridge, and F (Fred) R Smith are listed in the 1890 Boston Directory under
Horace Partridge & Co wholesale fancy goods.

In the Somerville, Arlington and Belmont Directory for 1871-72, Greenough, Jones & Co Boston, Benjamin F Hunt Jr is mentioned
in a two page advertisement for Horace Partridge's Boston Store for conducting the house's jewelry department.
