Would you consider it as complete and up-to-date a reference on Russian makers as is possible to get? I know little about Russian silver (only a basic knowledge of the marking systems as shown in Tardy's Int'l Hallmarks), and I may be interested in acquiring a copy of a good reference. Tell us more. sazikov2000 Posts: 254 Registered: Jan 2005	posted 03-06-2005 10:06 AM Dear classenemy IJP This book is as I wrote the bible of Russian Hallmarks and Silversmiths. 371 pages full of marks and information. As you might know in communistic Russia every kind of public information was forbidden and only museums had all the informations neccesary. Shortly after the collaps of the USSR this book came to the marked to fill the tremendous deficit of information. It went out of print and sale since 1985. I bought at that time 30 books, one is left. I do not want to advertise and explain every page of this book. If you know what you want and need, decide. Sazikov 2000 IP: Logged
