This is a Rosenthal (maker) pattern that I cannot identify. The knives of the set were stolen in a burglary and I am trying to replace them, but don't know the pattern. The mark is Rosenthal Germany.

FYI: I have found out the pattern name from Carla Zarse at Replacements Ltd. She wrote: "The name of the pattern is Romance and is made in both silverplate and sterling."

The pattern s ndeed Rosenthal's Romance pattern flatware. Rosenthal made crystal and tableware china with matching pattern . eBay Germany has a 72 piece Romance flatware set in Sterling on auction.

Since the auction was in German, I ran the text through one of the translation services..... Here it is:

As Translated:
The cutlery "ROMANCE" belongs to the most self-willed, but also to the elegantesten cutleries. BJRN WIINBLAD developed a contemporary cutlery from klasssischen Steielelementen. The serenely worked out relief and the noble materials(equipments) do the cutlery particularly festively and exclusive. Charakteristiches characteristic feature is those long, swung form and the " ROMANCE RELIEF " on all cutlery parts. This 72. tlg cutlery is from 925 sterling silver with gold olives. Orginal packs. Never uses. Price 1994 16208,00 DM 6 monthly installments possibly.
