Handcrafted sterling sugar tongs by Stavre Gregor Panis
Stavre Gregor Panis was born to a family of silversmiths in Albania in 1889 and emigrated to the U.S. in 1905. He and his wife Gladys Hamilton Panis, also a silversmith and jeweler, were based in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Their shop offered hand crafted sterling silver jewelry, spoons, tongs etc as well as copper enameled items. These tongs are in very good condition; very slight bend on one arm.
