I have a wonderful enamel spoon with a hallmark I can't decipher. I would love to know who made it and when. I have attempted to look through several hallmark books without avail.

The spoon sure looks Norwegian, and the mark appears to be that of Aksel Holmsen of Norway. The 925 standard would make it likely to be post 1925 at the earliest.

Hi John,

I agree that the piece is Norwegian and I've run across that design before. I believe the mark is David-Andersen's hammer and tongs, used from the late 1800s to the 1930s.

Yep, sorry, it is indeed the David-Anderson hammer & tongs. I tend to get it confused with the Holmsen mark which is similar, but composed of pliers and calipers.
