After looking at this a second time, the bottom mark looks like an old Carl Cohr mark - Denmark. Perhaps, someone out there can clarify this.

The DA hammer mark is for the Dansk Arbejde or Danish Trade Association. A group that I have never been able to get solid info on, anybody know anything about 'em? The other is definitely Cohr's mark.

The DA hammer mark is "Dansk Arbejd".
In the 1920's there was high unemployment in Denmark so a "buy Danish" campaign was launched in an attempt to boost employment. The DA was marked on all metal item, gold, silver, bronze, brass, steel, iron etc to indicate local manufacture.

The CMC is definitely Carl M. Cohr. His father, Ditlev Cohr (1821-1883), founded the C.M.Cohr firm (a major Danish silver manufacterer known for its flatware) in 1860 and was succeeded by his son Carl. By end of WW1 the firm employed hundreds of people. Many silversmiths trained there, including Hans Hansen and Bent Knudsen.
