Charger Plates What is the correct use of a charger plate? Is it just for ornamental use, and removed after the salad? When is it removed? Do you place the dinner and salad plates on top of them? John Lighthill IP: Logged |

Chargers or service plates are decorative and usually removed following salad course. I have seen them with larger plates on them also, but they are not used for food. When used with larger plates it is to show off your beautiful table setting not your good cooking. Vi IP: Logged |
