the2nortons Posts: 2 Registered: Nov 2003	posted 11-17-2003 09:36 PM Hi Deb, The overall length is 4.75", including the handle. The bowl measures 2" across the top and 1" tall. The red material appears to be some sort of plastic, possibly bakelite. Hope this helps. IP: Logged

They seem to be for mixing things over a container and then adding them to a larger volume of liquid. But there has never been the aha moment when it became clear just what these are. Would assume it went with some larger item and has become separated. IP: Logged

This looks very much to be something for rather formal use, as oppossed to kitchen work. The mark is not familiar. It could belong to a novelty maker or a retailer. Interesting question. IP: Logged
