I am Truly sorry for jumping the gun and not reading the rules as I should have. I was despirate to learn more about my moms treasure my sister pressed me to list it and I am afraid to lose it. When I didn't get and answer I assumed it was because my subject line was to boring with just the name of maker. I went in a bunch of times and didn't know how to just edit my post that was currently up. I didn't at all mean to break the rules and am very upset with myself for not being considerate of the rules. I am a very Rule oriented, Chain of command kind of perosn and this was a big kick in the pants to me. Again I am sorry and request forgivness for I truly enjoy this site and would like the opportunity to educate myself on the silver I have. I look forward to a reply. I am still interested in knowing when my tea pot was made and where.
Thank you very much Christina

Welcome to the forum! I had more than one faux pas when I joined. Like most men I go by one general rule: "When all else fails, read the directions!" Happy holidays,

Tom

Thank you Tom. Should I re post my tea pot or should I wait till I get an ok from more people. I am almost scared to show it again. I really do want to know more about it and another weird little jug I have. What do you think?

If your teapot is, as you stated, involved in an ebay auction, then it is not appropriate as a subject. If your other pieces do meet our guidelines, then feel free to post a new topic.

Selling family heirlooms may generate a few pennies in the short term, but when they're gone, they're gone forever. No eventual children or Grandchildren will ever have the pleasure of thinking about their ancestors and where they came from and how they lived just because someone wanted a few pennies.

Hi Outwest, You are so right. My sister and I have fought for years and when this little pot that was found in moms stuff, my sister grew horns. In an attempt to stop the arguement I agreed to sell it but listed a reserve so high that no one in their right mind would ever get to that amount. Well it worked Our agreement was if it didn't sell then I would pay her 50 bucks for her half. It is now all mine and I can persue the identifaction of this item. I am almost afraid to start a new thread since I had inquired about it twice and made a bad judgement with my speed reading of the regulations. I will just wait a while unless someone request a photo. I am going to take some pictures of a really neat little jug (I think)to learn more about it. Thanks for you knowledge, you are right.
