Hello all!

Has anyone heard of this group the Paul Revere Silversmith Society, & if so, it is still on going, where are they & what do they do? I have tried searching but found no info on them.

Thanks in advance.

I tried the Paul Revere House in Boston but they have not heard of it. You might try the 'Society of American Silversmiths'.

I did a search for 'Paul Revere Silversmith Society' and all that came up were a number of auctions on the big auction site for inexpensive silver plated things made in China and with large paper labels on their bottoms refering to this entity. The sellers seemed to think the age of their objects was 1960s to 1970s or so. From what I can see in the auctions my guess is the Paul Revere Silversmith Society may have been something like an import company that had silverplated copies of older silver patterns made for it in China and then marketed them as being affordable replicas of classic American silver using the fame of the Paul Revere name to help market their wares. Maybe they had a 'replica of the month club' or such.

Thanks argentum1 & Kimo!

At least that confirms my thoughts about the group.
