If you do a simple online search using sheet and silver you'll get many suppliers. Pretty much any jewelers' supply shop can furnish sheet metals, and if you need a specific thickness many can produce it in a rolling mill (depending on the size you need). Sheet metals are normally sold by gauge for thickness, but some sellers list conversions of gauges to inches or millimeters. [This message has been edited by FWG (edited 08-27-2006).] IP: Logged |

You are looking for fine silver foil. I would suggest searching for a source of supplies for enamelists. They use fine silver foil to back some of their work. You should ask for 32 gauge or thinner. 30 gauge converts to .254 mm. Hope this helps. Fred IP: Logged |
