They come with built-in hooks and look like icicles.

That's all I wanted to say.

Okay, it wasn't all I wanted to say after all. At this time I would like to add tea strainers, tea balls, chatelaine objects, and silver smalls generally, especially the kind that come with a finger-ring and chain.

You must have an interesting tree. Any chance of a photo?

Thanks, Scott! Soon--it's a work in progress at the moment. Still rummaging around for things to hang on it.

There's something to be said for napkin rings too. And dinner bells, though they require hooks or ribbons.

Still a work in progress, but here are a couple of photos. It's a tiny tree.

Closer view:

Not sure how much of the silver you can actually see, but that's an American (probably) 1840s-50s comb on the top; various tea balls, tea strainers (the kind that attach to a teapot spout), napkin rings, a perfume flask (that horn-shaped object), a coin purse; and, of course, button hooks.

The objects are easier to see without the lights:

Great idea for decorating your tree. Is that a perfume holder close to the top of your tree.
Is the key to your front door? If it is I would like to see the door.

Thanks for sharing.

Ha! Just rosewater in the ram's horn flask, I promise, not brimstone.

Happy 2014 to all!
