COOKA's combination of silver heating plates and a liquid silicone rubber (LSR) mat creates a lightweight functional stovetop that can be conveniently folded away.

Silver is the metal with the highest thermal conductivity, and it ensures rapid heating for the cooking plates and fast cooling during shutdown. The silver top and bottom plates sandwich an electric coil.

The LSR is non-toxic, and able to maintain its characteristics in temperatures ranging from 60°C to 280°C. Small holes beside the silver plates allow streams of hot air to rise from beneath the LSR mat and surround the cooking pot, creating an efficient heating system.

LED lights set into the LSR mat indicate the temperature, which can be controlled with simple buttons. A dimpled zone between the hotplates provides an area on which lukewarm pots can be set down. COOKA is easy to clean, and can be folded like a tablecloth.
