what this mark may be. It is on a 2 1/4" long shovel form salt spoon with a coffin handle and surprising weight. The mark is very small and I have no idea of its top or bottom. Assuming the striated background is intended to run vertically, here it is both ways
Any ideas? IP: Logged |

I also haven't a clue. With lots of imagination ...adding a horizon line, I kind of see a mountain and a reflection.
Or Perhaps a prehistoric bird.

Looks like an early WMF ostrich mark to me (would also explain the 'surprising weight')... ~Cheryl [This message has been edited by dragonflywink (edited 06-29-2016).] IP: Logged |
