![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have tentatively attributed this mark to Chauncey Jonhson, c 1820 in Albany, but only because there are so few other possible C/J name possibilities. The piece is a narrow fiddleback teaspoon of very good weight with a strongly molded oval drop and small flared shoulders. It is struck twice with different punches -- I am assuming the partial is a larger version of the smaller CJ. Anyone seem either before? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yep - Charles Jamieson is my bet. I have a couple of items (flat and hollowware) by this maker with identical marks, the initials and the sideways J. IP: Logged |
