 Carl died on July 20. 2018. Carl was a long time silver dealer that when I knew him set up in the North Building at Scott's Antique market. He carried a full line of silver, but really specialized in mother of pearl handled flatware. I had many a conversation with him on the various pieces he found or I think sometimes just made himself when he could not find the piece he was looking for. My daughter has one of his assembled sets as do we and I think fondly of our talks with him. He was always good with a joke and loved to help others in taking dents out of silver or other small repairs. I did watch him several times hoping to learn his technique, but I must admit my efforts never got the results he did. His wife, Barbara, came with him in recent years and we enjoyed seeing both of them each month that we went over to Atlanta. He will be missed.
