I just put candles in our candlesticks, using 'Stick Um"to hold them in place -- which I think I first learned about on this forum. One set of candlesticks is a little too big, which is always a pain (without resorting to my mother's technique of melting candlewax into the holder before jamming a fresh candle into place). Inspiration struck: I poured a little uncooked rice around the candle after dabbing the end in Stick Um. Tra-la! Worked like a charm. I'm not terribly concerned about any effect on the finish inside the holder.....unless someone here tells me I've made a terrible mistake. IP: Logged |
