Among the many "helpful" items that scroll across my screen was today's gem: a slideshow of 10 underappreciated uses of a Magic Sponge. #9 (after cleaning grout and grungy vinyl siding): Polish silver. We have several barley twist candle holders with cast brass tops. The brass tops were very dull, but after soaking in vinegar overnight and polishing with a Magic eraser they look much better. I cannot say I would ever use this “eraser” on silver, but it worked fine on a rough cast brass candle holder. IP: Logged |
