As requested, Paul, here are some examples of "Lightwing" jewelry by Shawn and Ann Lester of Vermont. Shawn does the silver cutouts and works them over the pieces of stained and dichroic glass made by Ann. My wife and I really enjoy these pieces, and not just because they have cats on them. I especially like the piece on the right; the dichroic glass makes it look like window into a cave of jewels, or a view of a coral reef.

We saw the Lesters at numerous different craft fairs on the East coast before we relocated to Indiana. I would imagine that they are still out there. I know they used to do the Winterthur fair in Delaware over Labor Day weekend, and may still.

None of these pieces are signed, so the box is the primary means to identification. The style is pretty distinctive, though, once you have seen it.

Anyway, enjoy!

Brent

Brent, thanks for sharing these items. They have a great look and the glass has wonderful colors. I will keep an eye out for this jewelry. Do you know the range of colors they use for the glass? I believe I once found a piece of theirs in a lot at an estate sale, it was a red glass disc with an overlaid panda design. I think I no longer have it, though.

It would very strange if I have never seen any of their work, particularly since Plainfield, Vermont, where they operate, actually borders the town where I live.
