In the 1930s-1950s, Frank Rebajes produced copper, silverplated, and silver jewelry. His designs were typically in the Modernist style. Most of his wares were produced by machine, with some hand-finishing, and had the appearance of being handmade.

In 1958, Rebajes left the United States for Spain, and Otto R. Bade, the foreman of the Rebajes shop, obtained ownership of the factory, equipment, and designs, and from 1960 until now has been producing objects under the name "Orb". These objects included both Rebajes designs and new designs. It is possible to find a Rebajes piece and an identical piece marked Orb.
