I have an antique pin that is sterling and has a maker's mark of two "C"s back to back. Does anyon know anything about this mark? IP: Logged |

This Arts and Crafts era mark is somewhat of a puzzle to jewelry collectors. Nobody seems to know whose it is. Some misattribute it to the Carence Crafters, an Arts & Crafts period Chicago metalwork group whose work is more collectible than the work by "The Adorsed Cs Maker." Although you do not picture the front of your brooch, I am guessing that it is handwrought silver centered by a baroque pearl. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the info, I have added the photo of the front, wow, you were right on target as far as the pin goes. Any idea the age? I think it was my gGrandmothers, but it may date further than that. IP: Logged |

The pin was made during the Arts & Crafts period. It dates to ca 1905-1915. IP: Logged |
