[26-0790] Hello, I've just started researching a sterling silver bracelet that belonged to my mother-in-law. I'll post photos, but I'm afraid that I couldn't get a close-up of the mark. The date code is for 1884, and it has the anchor for Birmingham. The decoration is a combination of hand-engraving and applied decoration. I did read the previous posts on this site about the "S Bros" marks, but I'd like to confirm if this is Sydenham or Sheldon Bros. The mark has a large S and B with ROS in smaller capital letters. There is also a dot between the S and Bros. I think from the description in the previous posts, it's most likely Sydenham, but I am quite unsure. Thank you, Wendy IP: Logged |

Welcome to the forum. Without a good closeup photo of the markings and an overall photo of the bracelet the best anyone can do is guess, which is not likely going to be very helpful to you. If you do not have a digital camera with a macro feature for closeups, you should ask a friend who has one to take some photos for you. Most average and better digital cameras these days have a macro feature. IP: Logged |
