I have a silver piece of Jewelry with mark of AWMC. It looks very old. Does anyone recognize this mark?

I don't know if this will help, but have you tried a google search for these letters? Just type in AWMC and see if any of the responses apply to what you have.

Hi. Can you tell us more. Like, what sort of a piece of silver? And what are the hallmarks on the piece?

Better yet, can you post a picture?

Rgds,

Thank you for replying to my request.

The jewelry piece is oval with a metal stripin the center longways. The oval is 2-1/4" long and 1-1/4" wide. It has 3/8" wide oval band of hand-tooled filagree. The metal is silver in color and very soft and bendable in not handled carefully. It looks very very old. The center metal strip has a small diamond shape AWMC small diamond shape, this is centered in the metal strip. On the left side of the metal strip is the letters AWMC in a very small circle shape as if it is the hallmark. This piece looks as if it is for a scarf or belt. Sorry, I do not have a url for picture. I will update later if possible with a url. Any consideration is highly appreciated.

You could use PHOTOBUCKET.
It's free and very efficient!
Good luck!

Any idea of where it is from? It sounds like the kind of fastener used to secure a Scottish kilt or a shawl. We need that photo!

Sorry, Jaci, I cannot read the marks. Try using a magnifing glass when photographing...nice pic, but I don't think any of us can help. TBC
