Marbeth Schon, author of "Modernist Jewelry: The Wearable Art Movement" has recently come out with a new book also covering American mid-century jewelry (believe in conjunction with an exhibition).

I am just wondering if anybody has purchased or thumbed through this book, and if so, what is the verdict? Does anybody know of a bookstore in Manhattan that might stock this title? I would like to leaf through the book in person rather than just buying it online as it is about $70 I think.

Thanks.

Paul,

Marbeth has reviewed the exhibit at The Fort Wayne Museum of Art in Fort Wayne Indiana titled American Modernist Jewelry, 1940 - 1970 on the modernsilver website and there are numerous images from her book. I suspect you will not regret purchasing it and I would suggest getting it autographed from her website.

It's a great reference book. I just got it, and have only begun thumbing through it. There is tons of mod jewelry to die for... it really makes you want to go see the exhibit.
