Scott,
Wayne was the name of a jeweler and retailer. They made some items with Georg Jensen influence. I have two of their catalogs one from 1952 and the other 1956. The company name was Wayne Silversmiths, Inc. located at 546 South Broadway, Yonkers 5, New York.
They specialized in personalized jewelry with initials and other smalls. I do notice a pair of candlesticks and a coffee service. "coffee pot, sugar, creamer and tray. They also handled flatware by other manufacturers

Fredz,

Thanks so much. This info has lead me to find out that Wayne Silversmiths (Year founded: 1947) is a DBA for Robert Stoll. It looks like Robert Stoll has a rich history making metals.

quote:
History and Commerce of New York, 1891

ROBERT STOLL, Maker of Fine Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals, No. 19 John Street.--
One of the most prominent makers of medals in this city is Robert Stoll, of No. 19 John Street. He established his business in 1885 and gives employment to nine persons. His trade extends throughout the country, while he also does some export business. He has a fine factory upstairs, 25 x 50 feet, supplied with all of the most modern machinery and tools that are requisite for making fine gold, silver and bronze medals, for athletic, boxing, wrestling, rowing, swimming, fly casting, gymnastic and skating championships. He is the largest manufacturer of sporting and presentation trophies in the U. S. His stock comprises a wide and wonderfully rich variety of goods, including watches, diamonds and jewelry. Mr. Stoll is not alone a maker of medals, but one of the best known athletes in the country. He is a member of the New York Athletic Club, the champion sprint runner of America, also the amateur champion of America on the flying rings for 1885, 1886, 1887. 1888, 1889. 1890 and 1891. and also the rope climbing champion for 1888, and the proud possessor of seventy-five trophies for athletic feats and is one of the most popular men in the athletic fraternity. His work is from his own original designs, and much of it is done for jewelers upon order. Mr. Stoll is a reliable, honorable business man and has made a success that is most gratifying.

I haven't thoroughly looked into this but it feels likely that Robert Stoll or a descendent married into the Wayne family and that is the association that creates Wayne Silversmiths.

Thanks to Google Streets we see Wayne Silversmiths may still be in business:
