I am looking for information on a teapot manufactured by Webster Mfg Co (of Brooklyn, NY 1859-1873. Besides the Webster Mfg Co the bottom is stamped triple plate and the number 28. The shape of the teapot is what I believe to be called “ball shaped” after a football. The same shape appears as part of the handle. The feet are about 1 ½ inches high. The lid is missing its pull and I would like to have a duplicate made. To do this I need to know the shape of the original pull. I have looked in several books and cannot find a similar item. Have also visited 2 local antique dealers and a silver plating company. All were helpful but could not find any items of that style. I eventually want to have the teapot re-plated as it belonged to my great grandmother and was probably a wedding gift. Any help would be appreciated. You can email me directly.
