carlaz Posts: 239 Registered: Jan 2001	posted 07-28-2004 04:27 PM I have had the luck to come across a set of hand hammered, applied design dessert bowls with matching underplates. They are date marked with a key signifying that they were made in 1890 but in the underside center of each piece is a mark the size of a pin head with a bird/swan/duck. I have attached a photo of this mark but I have been unable to figure out its importance since I have either never seen this mark before or did not notice it. As I said, it is very very small and impossible to see without a loop. Any information would be appreciated! IP: Logged
