A friend just called my attention to a set of 12 Tiffany coffee spoons, each with a different flower on the terminal (but not the "Floral" pattern), the designs stylistically suggesting manufacture around the turn of the 20th C. The stems are marked "Tiffany & Co. Makers / Sterling." Stamped on each heel is "Y.K." within a rectangle. I have never seen this "Y.K." mark before. Has anybody?

It sounds like these spoons were on eBay, so it is way too late for the rest of us to view them. I wish you had copied the pictures for us to view! I think that you should know better than to torture us with this sort of question without pictures! (Just kidding... sort of.)

How tiny were the marks on the heel? Even typeface? I think that in the past I have seen "YK" on some Oriental silver, but of course those marks wouldn't make any sense on these Tiffany spoons. Perhaps a European retailer in a country without import marks? Anyway, I have been pondering this question.

The "Y.K." mark was not tiny (like the usual import mark). No image was available.
