Please help me id this unusual small flat handled knife. It is 5 " long and serrated across the top like an orange knife but it feels too small when held to actually be a fruit knife. The claw-like tip looks like it might be a lobster or shell fish utensil?

None of my old catalogs or other refs. show anything like this.

What is it?

Thanks.

Hi! Welcome to the forum. Your first thought I believe is correct. It is a citrus knife.

Thanks for your help. I just found a picture of a Kirk Repousse fruit/orange knife with the identical pronged blade in the Hood book, Tiffany Silver Flatware, 1845-1905, page 54. It measure 7' and is 2" longer than the Tyrolean example. Thanks for helping me resolve this.

Hi Again! I meant to reference Mr. Hood's book & forgot. That is also where I found it as well. Also thru an internet search there was a website that had a set of 12 of your knives for sale Glad I could be of assistance. Jersey
