In the last few months there was a posting of a child's feeding spoon that I cannot find, but I thought I would post this one just to show another example of a spoon designed for the small mouth of an infant.

We used this spoon in 1965 for our first daughter and I just found it while I was rummaging through some old silver. I believe that is was new when we first used it. It is also a good example of the variety of silver that was available in the 1960s.

Here is another spoon I found while rummaging old silver. It is a spoon by Kirk that we used many years ago as a child’s feeding spoon. It is only 3 ¾ inches long and my guess now is that it is really a tea caddy spoon and not a child’s feeding spoon. Any thoughts as to its intended purpose?
