I am on bread an water for a month, maybe two. I cannot identify the mark on this wood and sterling salad set. Can you help? I hope that picture of the trademark is clear enough. What a job it was taking that. I picked up a treasure trove this weekend. I just couldn't resist. A Honey pitcher, with behive on top, by Meriden, (dated and with pat#, quadruple plate tray by Forbes, trays by the old english letters EGW&S in mint condition (probably resilvered),Spider wed webster <ahem> teaset, SFP Friedman teaset, 11" williamsburg pewter bowl in near mint cond. Various manchester and ssmc stering spoons, adjustable duchin 5 candle candleabra quadruple plate pickle caster (may be asking for help on that mark) cannot mention tham all. Oh Cheryl, there was a ladle too but it isn't 17" but I am still looking for you. This is 14 inch ladle marked 1880 pairpoint. Good luck with that mark guys Pbanz IP: Logged

Not sure when they discontinued Devonshire, but 1914 was the date of introduction. Can't really say why, but have always assumed this type of salad set was post-WWII.
