My grandmother was recently hospitalized. In going through her things we found some interesting sterling silver pieces. I have no clue as to the worth or significance of them. The description is as follows:

On the back is engraved 2 symbols
The first part looks like an anchor, next to it is a symbol that looks like scripted letters F&B, then it has the words "sterling 1899.

Can anyone help me with this?

Sounds like it might be a mark for Foster & Bailey of Providence, RI. They made a wide variety of sterling goods. What exactly do you have?
