Hey guys,

I am very happy to find this web site and forum.

I collect southern coin silver and other odd pieces of silver. This interested me because of the monogram on top and the hammered look around the box lid and bottom. I have never seen this mark before and was looking for some help.

The silver is stamped.. "G.S. Co" then there is a stamp of what looks like a crown and a horse then with the Capital letter E then 3350/10.

I am not 100% certain this is sterling, but it is a really cool monogrammed piece.

Any help/ info greatly appreciated.

It's me again. Just a little disappointed no one has been able to help me. All that work for nothing...no, it was a learning experience. Just wish I could get some help.

Thanks again everyone.

The piece seems to be from the Arts and Crafts period but I don't know the mark. I am away from home on business and do not have access to my books and other research material.

I will attempt to see what I can find this weekend.

I think I have a similar hallmark on what appears to be a creamer. It's a lovely piece I just acquired and plan on keeping. The mark appears to contain the letters G.S.Co. and the mark is unbordered with a front facing lion sitting on it's haunces, then a crown, then a left facing horse. The icons in the hallmark are adjacent. I've just downsized my tax practice and have begun researching the pieces I have collected over the years to identify patterns and hallmarks to assist in valuing my meager collection and possibly adding to it. I also live in a small town with a hopelessly inadequate library! I hope we can find a clue - I've been looking for almost a month. Good luck
