Does anyone have any knowledge of a sterling maker's mark that looks like this:
A square box that inside has a large B on the left, and an smaller S directly over a C on the left? I know a few companies used B.S.C. initials, like Barbour, but wasn't sure when the initials were in a square.
Thanks for any suggestions you may have.
Chris

Ordinarily, the forum members would demand that you post a pic, but I think we've all seen this mark before, and the description is fairly straightforward. I suppose you looked in Rainwater under "B"... I would have done the same. Unfortunately, you don't find it there. But it never hurts to look at the marks shown in Rainwater for International Silver Co. You'll find the "BSC" in a square there. International arose from Meriden Britannia, and acquired all of the associated marks. The Rainwater entry on International is worth a look.

Thanks so much! You're right, I neglected to check Intl and that is always a good place to check. I appreciate your help.
