Heavy nutpick with a nicely detailed squirrel eating an acorn on the end. I've seen these by several makers (photos, not in person): Wendt, Gorham, Tiffany. This one is marked only STERLING.

The shaft is hexagonal, the pick end pointed and curved.

Anyone know who made it?

Could it be George Sharp? I have a couple of spoons with the same hexagonal beaded handle - and I'm pretty sure he did a squirrel pattern as well.

Thanks, Lisa! I bet you're right. A computer search for George Sharp squirrel nutpicks turns up a set with fancier shafts and ends, but the same squirrel.
