This is another serving spoon I found at the Nashville show this weekend. It is by Porter Blanchard and has a bright cut design around the edge much like the feather edge design of the late 1700s. This spoon is 10 inches long and the silversmith left hammer marks on the underside of the bowl. The hammer marks are very attractive, but is well above my picture taking skills to show this effect.
Does anyone know the name of the pattern and was it part of a full set?

Hello ahwt,

Try searching for the pattern described as zig zag.

Thanks Scott and Jersey. I think
Replacements calls it PBS3 but you get to it with the ZIG ZAG name in an internet search. I notice Porter Blanchard also had a scroll pattern that is very similar to the Onslow pattern. It is interesting to see how a modern silversmith "redesigns" old patterns.
