By Gorham, with figural blueberries. Is this pattern called Berry? (Does it have a name?)

Maybe the blueberries are a clue to its use?

It's not a berry spoon, I don't think--too flat. And the pattern came in lots of different pieces. I thought maybe ice cream server rather than fish slice because of the berries, but I really don't know...

Blueberry pie would taste even better when served with this server, but it would make anything taste better. Lovely server.

For some reason it didn't occur to me that it might be a pie server, probably because it's a trapezoid rather than a wedge. But you may well be right! Too late for blueberries, but it's apple-pie season.

Awesome server! I believe that's Palm pattern c.1871-75 period.

The general shape is similar to Palm, but Palm has a palm pattern on the handle that this lacks; this has berries that Palm lacks; and the place where the handle attaches to the bowl is different. But I expect they're from the same time, and maybe the same designer(s) were involved.

Good points. It could be a custom pattern.
It's a cool piece regardless.

They did so many different things, you really never know what you'll find by Gorham!
I'm sure you're familiar with that odd pattern by them "Hamburg", it's always marked "C sterling" Have you ever seen a piece of Hamburg with the normal Gorham marks?

I actually found a butter knife in Hamburg with the normal Gorham marks. I've never seen another one before or since!

There are lots of surprises to be found by Gorham. smile
