How do Barney and Blanche fit in with the other names. Perhaps they are the names of his children? IP: Logged |

William Dodd Chenery was an author and producer of operas and librettos; don't know his full dates, but he seems to have spanned the late 1800s to 1920s or 1930s. He was from Springfield, IL. It would make sense that the names are of children, but it's interesting to note that one of his operas was titled "Egypta". I did find a Moses Chenery whose dates would work as a child of William Dodd Chenery. [This message has been edited by doc (edited 04-13-2018).] IP: Logged |

Thank you. I think you've got the right person. He introduced Egypta, The Wondrous Story of the Nile, in 1893 in Springfield. I'm still thinking its his children's names but so far I haven't found any info about his family.

Here is another idea... Could the outside tines be actors names and the inside tines be the characters they played in his opera Egypta? IP: Logged |
