Nice seahorse candy dish, asheland! (Nice books, too!)

we can't talk about silver seahorses without a mention of carl schon's seahorse jewelry. some of his seahorses are extremely realistic and probably cast from life. earlier pieces are better and marked with a CS mark (there are a couple variations). later pieces are smaller and less detailed and marked CARL SCHON INC.

in general, schon's earlier jewelry can be pretty amazing.

Whenever I hear a bell it is hard not to think about Jimmy Stewart's movie "It's a Wonderful Life". Great sound.
