Hello,
I have a beautiful silver martini shaker with marks on the bottom. Can you help me identify it or the marks?
thanks!
Marks:
first line: oval with something in it, followed by 4 small squars with stamps and a shield shaped stamp at the end. (sorry that's the best I can do, maybe the rest will help)
second line: Made in England
third line: L1960/1p and a small something
below that is a 36 in the center.
Thanks for your assistance.
Tom

Without a more detailed description of the marks, we can't be sure. But I'd guess that, because of the "Made in England" mark, that this is electroplated, and the four square marks include initials of the company, or possibly the ever popular EPNS (electro plated nickel silver) found on a great deal of Brit plate. Cocktail shakers are a hot collectible, and yours probably has as many marks as any of them. If it's a great art deco design, you've got a hit. If it's just a nice conventional form (as most are), you've still got something in vogue for today's collectors.
