I have acquired 10 russian silvergilt spoons in perfect condition with silver mark being AK and the silver content mark.They are 6inches long with barley sugar twist handles the spoonbacks have a chaste pattern.Can anyone help with the makers mark and a date if possible.

You'll need to reach out to the folks who have Russian silver mark books, if there is such a thing other than for Faberge. I'd need more detail about the mark itself, because that often indicates the date of the piece--and sometimes Russian silver is dated. Are the bowls chased or engraved? Any sort of inlay work? These coffee spoons were fairly popular in the US during the 1870s-1890s and beyond--even places like Tiffany's in NYC sold a significant amount of Russian silver.

There are reference books on Russian silver, but more information is needed for a more detailed analysis. Photos of the marks and the piece would be most helpful.
