Lindahoch Posts: 1 Registered: Nov 2002	posted 11-09-2002 08:47 AM I have a small teapot (4 1/2") with the "Meriden B. Company" & SX160 on the bottom. It also has "A Luchow N.Y." engraved on the front. Can you tell me anything about this teapot? IP: Logged
Ulysses Dietz Moderator Posts: 1265 Registered: May 99	posted 11-12-2002 09:22 AM This sounds like a "hotel plate" teapot, and I only suspect that because Luchow's was a famous German restaurant at the end of Irving Place on 14th street, in NYC. It closed ages ago, but I remember eating there with friends in my college years in the 1970s. Luchow's was an old, old restaurant, but the teapot is probably early 20th century, and was an individual serving pot used at the table. IP: Logged
