I recently received from a friend a large silver tray with grand handles, raised feet, and a raised fence type border to keep items in the tray inside. On the bottom it has a flag design and below that states Walker & Hall, Sheffield, England, 53360. Also on the bottom but at the other end it has three very small triangles in a clover pattern with somethings imprinted in each as well as the number 37 stamped near this grouping. I was wondering when this may have been made, if it is sterling or plated.

Thank you.

Based on your description of the marks, it is electroplate and dates from 1891 to 1909.
